Volunteers are tremendous and help provide the love and enrichment that the pets crave. Bathing the dogs and puppies also help them get adopted. Socialization and providing extra details like, walks well on a leash, can really help get the pet adopted. Volunteers can walk dogs, play with cats, bathe dogs, pass out treats and toys, put out bedding to make the kennel cozier, etc. Volunteers can clean the cages while the dogs are on a walk so they return to a clean, dry kennel.

Additional Supplies Needed: All leashes, treats, toys, shampoo etc. will be provided

Inclement Weather Plan: Yes, activities will just be inside instead of both inside and outside

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. No one under 18 will be admitted.

Augusta Animal Services is responsible for keeping the community safe. We enforce state laws and city ordinances. We work to place adoptable animals in homes.
