Volunteers will work on garden projects, based out of Icebox Urban Farm, in the neighborhood of Harrisburg. The work will include: cleaning the greenhouse and garden sheds, amending raised beds, weeding, harvest, lots of mulching, sprucing up the classroom building, a bit of painting, and possibly some building projects.

Additional Supplies Needed: Come prepared to get dirty and possibly a little wet. Closed toe shoes are essential. Gloves are recommended, although we have a supply to lend too. Bring a water bottle!

Inclement Weather Plan: We have indoor spaces and work, including the greenhouse and teaching kitchen.

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 5 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Augusta Locally Grown is growing a healthier and more accessible local food system throughout the CSRA. One of our teaching centers is Icebox Urban Farm, dedicated to teaching children and families how to grow seasonal foods following organic practices
