November 2, 2019
Volunteers will work with the Friends of the Augusta Library (like a PTA for libraries) to help set up their quarterly book sale. The proceeds are donated to the library system for major events like the Summer Reading Program, the Augusta Literary Festival, Star Wars Reads Day, as well as other projects that need additional funding. Volunteers will also assist with cleaning of library departments (i.e., dusting bookshelves, cleaning keyboards, etc.).
Additional Supplies Needed: Gloves, paper towels, windex/pledge, canned air
Inclement Weather Plan: Not necessary
Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. If they are between 12 and 15 they must have a parent/guardian with them at all times.
Connecting the community to knowledge by providing information to people.
