For 1 full time ranger and 1 part time keeping up with the maintenance of a camp the size of Camp Tanglewood is a never ending job. Something always needs painting, repairing, cleaning or just straightening up. Camp Tanglewood is host to more than 5,000 Girl Scouts per year not including summer resident camp, and numerous Girl Scout weekend events. We also allow non Girl Scout groups to rent our camp for their day-camps. Augusta University has held their week-long Asthma day-camp at Camp Tanglewood for at least 5 years. We need you to help us make continuous improvements at camp so we can continue to attract more and more girls to camp. If you like to paint, we need you. If you like to build things, we need you. If you enjoy yard work, we need you. If you enjoy physical labor, we need you.

Additional Supplies Needed: We will supply paint brushes, paint, drop-cloths, gloves and most tools. If you have tools you would like to bring, you are more than welcome. Please wear clothes you will not mind getting dirty or paint on.

Inclement Weather Plan: No

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Must be accompanied by an adult, cannot wonder around camp alone. All participants must wear closed toed shoes.

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
