SafeHomes AM Shift
Saturday, Nov 4, 2017
8:30am – 11:30am
We believe that every person has the right to live without fear and that no one deserves to be abused. Through advocacy, we respect the intrinsic value of each client, regardless of where they are in their journey. Through education, we help end the cycle of violence, one family at a time. And through awareness, we empower our community to take a stand against domestic violence and support victims as they transform their lives into survivors.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been physical violence by an intimate partner. Help stop the cycle of domestic violence by restoring SafeHomes, Augusta’s Domestic Violence Center. Volunteers will work to ensure victims have a loving, safe, and confidential space to come to. To help create a more aesthetically pleasing environment for our clients, volunteers will be asked to repaint all the hallways in our office area.
To complete our painting project, the follow items will be provided:
-Paint brushes, for trim
-Plastic floor cover
All items that are needed for our painting project will be provided. However, if volunteers have their own painting tools they would prefer to use, they are more than welcome to bring those with them.
There are two entrances to our location. We ask that all volunteers drive to the lower entrance and park in the lower parking lot. .
All volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. We will ask that all volunteers sign a confidentiality form upon arrival to our location.
Come be a part of the transformation!
