John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” At the American Red Cross, we try to follow this advice and live our gratitude for the donors who make our work possible. One way we do this is by sending thank you notes during the holidays. Our service project is to have Augusta University volunteers hand write impactful thank you notes for our generous donors which we will send during Thanksgiving and the December holiday season. We will supply note cards, donor name/address, and sample scripts for the thank you notes. This project can be done at our office or at the AU volunteer’s own time/place.
