Lights for Lydia Workday is an event that is held at the Lydia Project agency. It is an opportunity for the whole family to get involved in creating 1500 Luminary kits for the CSRA to light the night in December in honor or in memory of individuals with cancer and keeps services free for the individuals Lydia serves.

Additional Supplies Needed: All supplies provided. 1500 bags of tea lights, 1500 bundles of white luminary bags, 1500 purple bags, gallon size ziplock bags to shovel sand in, 300 small moving boxes and tape from 5 kits to be put in each box and taped up. Refreshments will also be served that morning.

Inclement Weather Plan: Yes. If it rains, canopies will be put up.

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least no minimum age years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The Lydia Project is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit charity whose mission is to provide cancer patients support for their financial and emotional needs, including lodging services, in order to facilitate their treatment and healing. Hundreds of volunteers make an impacting, healing difference. There is no other agency in the CSRA providing cancer patients financial and emotional services like The Lydia Project provides. The Lydia Project has received a Points of Lights award for innovative utilization of volunteers to solve a community problem.
