  • No additional project files.

The RECing Crew offers and supports leisure and recreational programs for children and adults with special needs.

With the COVID-19 outbreak, we found it necessary to suspend our programs for the safety and well-being of our members, volunteers, and staff. With the uncertainty we faced, we refocused how we offer programs, while re-imagining what our programs will look like in the context of social distancing. We began a series of virtual activities (E-Crew) that allows our members to participate and socialize with their peers from the comfort and safety of their homes. Some of these activities include Art, Bingo, Virtual Field Trips, Music, Trivia Games, Cooking, and a weekly social hangout. These activities have become such a popular part of our members lives that we are making E-Crew a permanent part of our programs.

We would love to have AU Volunteers join us to create NEW virtual events for our members during the AU Virtual Days of Service. Do you have a talent or skill that you would like to share? It can be as simple as a creating a video or live tutorial. Our members love to learn new skills, enjoy being together and appreciate everything that is done for them.

Here are some virtual ideas you may want to consider but the possibilities are endless. Let us know if you have any additional ideas.

  • Baseball or Basketball Skills
  • Music: Sing -A-Longs; Trivia Games; Karaoke
  • Art: Art Project
  • Cooking: Simple snack/dessert
  • Games: Bingo; Trivia
  • Exercise/Yoga
