The Lydia Project-AM Shift
Saturday, Nov 4, 2017
9:00am – 12:00pm
AU Day of Service Volunteers will be distributing a special shopping list to each KJ Market customer and kindly ask them to support the women and girls Lydia serves by purchasing an item or two on the list. Customers can shop and drop donations right then and there!
The Lydia Project provides free and caring services to women and girls anywhere receiving treatment for any type of cancer- including lodging services, encouraging support, or medical supplies. Services also include rent, utility, and prescription assistance to women fighting cancer physically and financially. Every women and girl who are served receives a Lydia tote that includes personal care items and promise of twelve months of monthly support.
Special Flyers adapted to AU Day of Service Volunteers will be printed for this special collection drive for their help with distribution to each KJ Market customer.
Tables, donation Jars, large collection boxes and Lydia outreach items and volunteer opportunity flyers will also be set up before and picked up with all donations at the end of the collection drive.
There will be be one Lydia Volunteer at each door with the AU Day of Service Volunteers to represent Lydia and field any questions that customers may have of the organization, free and caring services and/or volunteer opportunities. These volunteers have been well trained and have assisted in the many collection drives like this one.
