Golden Harvest Food Bank Aiken

Because Golden Harvest invests as much as possible in the process of procuring food, we operate with minimal paid staff. As a result, often times we are unable to get to the tasks outside of our normal duties. We would love to have a group of volunteers come through to help with a variety of small maintenance items. Additionally, we will have just completed our largest food drive of the year and will literally have tons of food to be sorted and boxed. We would appreciate as much help as possible in this endeavor.

Additional Supplies Needed: No tools or equipment necessary

Inclement Weather Plan: Indoor volunteer project. Weather is not a factor

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Any volunteer under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

Additional Notes: WHAT TO KNOW ON THE DAY YOU VOLUNTEER DRESS: Casual clothes that can get dirty & tennis shoes. Closed toed shoes are REQUIRED for safety. Please remember we are a faith based organization. Clothing must be in good taste. Although the warehouse is temperature controlled, please dress accordingly to the season and consider bringing a light jacket or gloves in the winter. We recommend dressing in layers. We recommend keeping your personal belongings in your vehicle.
