Since the ministry’s inception, countless lives have been forever changed: social and racial barriers have been removed, families restored, homeless have obtained housing, many who were unemployed have found jobs, physical and mental health has been regained as addictions and destructive lifestyles have been broken.
We could also use volunteers for the AU Day of Service as well on our Saturday Service. We have several dates to choose from in the month of November. Volunteer duties consist of meeting us at 1130am under the bridge at 524 15th Street Augusta GA 30901. We will need help in a variety of areas such as assisting set up and break down of tables, chairs, sound system and children’s ministry.
We may also need help passing out food, and other items such as hygiene bags and take home bags.
In Person: Saturday Service
“Adopt- A – Family” will give the opportunity to help assist one of our many families under the bridge have a wonderful and stress free Christmas. The families may range from a single mom and one or two kids all the way up to a whole family such as kids, mom, grandma etc. When you choose the “Adopt- A – Family” program depending on the amount of support from each group we will then decide on which family to pair you with! We will choose a family that we are certain are in times of hardship and that do have children they are needing to provide for. When we assign you a family we will give you information such as name, gender, age, and some of their favorite toys/ characters. That way you will know a general idea of what the kids and parents are interested in!
