To build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts would like to create two primitive camp sites (tent camping) at Camp Tanglewood located on Columbia Road. This involves removing bushes and undergrowth from the selected areas to create a clear space as well as building a fire ring on both sites with rocks. It is estimated we will need 20 volunteers per site. Volunteers will need to wear closed toe shoes and protective clothing from plants. Some landscaping tools can be provided by the camp, but if volunteers have their own gloves, rakes, and loppers that would be helpful. There is always landscaping that needs to be trimmed at our 188 acre camp. Volunteers are needed to cut back shrubs, vines, and small trees. There is one area that has a lot of rocks that are spread across the ground that could be removed. Camp rangers and Girl Scout staff will be on site to assist. We are flexible on the dates and times but would prefer a Monday-Thursday daytime work event if possible. Can do a weekend if necessary. Call Sandy to schedule an exact date and time 706-621-5981.
