The mission of Historic Augusta, Inc. is to preserve historically or architecturally significant sites in Augusta and Richmond County, Georgia.
Historic Augusta, Inc. presents several Fall programs, culminating in the Candlelight Tours the first week in December. This year, we are also part of a grant program with Destination Augusta, which includes planning and implementing experiential tours at the Boyhood Home of Woodrow Wilson and the Joseph R. Lamar House. We work with a garden club and residents of Hale House to complete projects in our outdoor areas, but we will require some sprucing up in both the garden and inside the buildings before these two programs launch. We are able to provide direction to volunteers and are flexible when work can be accomplished. We will have more details about what is needed before the Days of Service commence. We welcome all volunteers with knowledge of gardening, maintenance, and historic structures.
